Sycamoreheart stretched herself across a sun-warmed rock and closed her vivid blue eyes. It was a pleasant day, so far, as far as temperatures went. It wasn't storming today, in any case, and it wasn't cool enough for her thick coat to be necessary or warm enough for her to feel like she was suffocating. She had learned quickly that the abundance of hair she possessed made it much, much more uncomfortable in the hotter season, and the hot parts of the mild seasons. With a sigh Sycamoreheart twisted and nibbled at an itch under her left foreleg, raising the right high into the air to assist her with balance. Her long tail flicked at the tip with pendulous precision, tick-tick-ticking away and her thoughts rolled from paying attention to her surroundings to her memories, and the long coat that she needed to start encouraging to fall out now if she wanted to not suffocate all summer long. It did not do for a warrior to be heat sick all the time when she was needed to protect the clan, and hunt. Sycamore snorted softly to herself at that, the sound merging with a sudden sneeze as her own fine coat tickled her sensitive, pink nose. She sighed again. Well, it meant that she was making progress at least. She bit and nibbled at her coat, trying her hardest not to swallow any of the hair - that was never pleasant! - then, in a most undignified manner she twisted and stretched and rolled on her chosen rock to snag the loose hairs free on the rough texture of the sandstone. It was her favorite rock specifically because of the texture. The constantly, faint itching in her skin stopped and she stopped twisting and rolling, balancing on her back with her head curved over to her shoulder. That was so much better...
